  Mrs Samantha Liu has never visited Groupe Dentaire Élite and her review of our services is totally inaccurate (I am the office manager and verified the patient database for her name). In most cases (98% or more) cleaning are completed during the first visit. The reason why the full checkup exam is required and explains why we will not do only cleanings is because the dental hygienists are currently not independent from the dentist in Quebec (like in Ontario and most other Canadian provinces). Maybe Mrs Liu comes from Ontario and doesn’t know this major difference in the law between the two provinces. The exam is therefore OBLIGATORY BY LAW in Quebec, otherwise the dental hygienist would not be able to proceed with any treatment. In a minority of cases, when the cleaning is not completed or not done at all at the first appointment, the patient is aware that their condition required a more in depth data collection in order to provide the highest possible standard of care. The patient has, in all cases, agreed to this way of proceeding, and our team continuously strives to surpass expectations and provide the best treatment for everyone’s individual condition.
